Sandton, Johannesburg – 15 July 2025 — Downtown Music Publishing is proud to announce the renewal of its administration agreement with Nigerian singer, songwriter, and Afrobeats sensation Esegine Allen, professionally known as Orezi, for an additional five years.
This extended partnership reinforces Downtown’s mission to amplify African voices and support creators with real infrastructure and global visibility. Downtown will continue to administrate Orezi’s catalog and future composition across the globe including his newest release Start to dance(Remix)
Orezi has long been a powerhouse in Africa’s music scene, blending Afrobeats and dancehall into chart-topping anthems. With hits like “Rihanna,” “Booty Bounce,” and “Shuperu” (Remix feat. Davido), he’s earned over 100 million streams and collaborated with stars like Wizkid, Teni, Flavour, and Timaya.
