From August 22–24, Downtown Music Publishing Africa teams up with local and global partners to host the Mozambique Showcase Music Hackathon — a three-day explosion of sound, strategy, and creative power in Maputo.
Special guest K-Zaka [SA] lights up the stage alongside standout Mozambican acts including Beauty Sitoe, The Ghost Note Band, Banda Os Kassimbos, TMRS Awage, and Larry O. Expect a lineup as diverse as the continent itself, bridging tradition and innovation.
Industry firepower comes in the form of panelists Thando Makhunga [SA] — MD of Downtown Music Publishing Africa and a global dealmaker — and Kefiloe Molefe [SA], Head of A&R at Sheer Publishing. Together, they bring decades of experience in copyright, talent development, and music industry game-changing.
The hackathon is more than a music event. It’s a mission: to power up African creators with tools, insights, and connections to own their craft and amplify their impact globally.
