Sheer Publishing’s Managing Director, David Alexander and West Africa Agent, Seidu Idrissu recently travelled to Africa, covering a total of 9 countries in 4 weeks.
Some of the countries they visited include: Cameroon, Benin, Ethiopia, Togo & Ghana where they were able to conduct some workshops, seminars and training for local collecting societies, namely: Sonacam in Cameroon and Bubedra in Benin. They also had the opportunity to meet with composers and writers and do some training around the ownership of music copyright for song writers.
Overall, it was an incredibly successful trip, one which we are excited to see the fruits of in the near future.
