A woman with curly hair, wearing a headset, smiles at her desk. Next to her, a dark box shows SAMRO’s logo and text: “The State Of Your Music: Service Weeks at SAMRO, 25 May - 05 June 2026.” Three colourful icons appear above the text.

SAMRO Invites Members to The State of Your Music Service Weeks

SAMRO has invited its members to take part in The State of Your Music: Service Weeks at SAMRO, a dedicated two-week member engagement initiative taking place from 25 May to 5 June 2026 at SAMRO, 20 De Korte Street, Braamfontein.

The initiative is designed to give music creators, publishers and prospective members direct access to SAMRO services, practical education and personalised support. Members will be able to walk in between 09h00 and 15h00 during the Service Weeks, with no appointment required.

At the centre of the programme is a practical issue that affects many creators: music can only work properly for its rights holders when the underlying information is accurate, current and complete. Missed works notifications, incomplete registrations, outdated banking details, inaccurate split sheets and limited understanding of contractual obligations can all create avoidable admin gaps. Over time, those gaps can affect how creators are credited, identified and paid.

The State of Your Music has been created to help members address those challenges directly. Through educational sessions, one-on-one consultations and on-site query support, SAMRO representatives will assist members with key areas of music rights administration, catalogue management and royalty-related processes.

What members can get support with

The Service Weeks will cover practical areas that are central to stronger music rights administration, including music copyright, royalty earnings, catalogue management, live performance royalties, CIPC compliance, songwriter agreements, SAMRO benefits and SAMRO CSI initiatives.

The sessions are open to both established and emerging creators, with a focus on helping members strengthen their understanding of the music rights ecosystem and improve the quality of the information attached to their works.

Walk-in support for SAMRO members

For the duration of the Service Weeks, SAMRO has waived the requirement to book an appointment. Members can visit the Braamfontein offices at any time between 09h00 and 15h00 from 25 May to 5 June 2026 to receive assistance from SAMRO representatives.

Members are encouraged to use the opportunity to review their details, ask questions, address outstanding administrative issues and strengthen the rights-management foundations behind their music.
