On Friday, June 21st SAMRO hosted an interactive session between the Board of SAMRO and SMARO members where the Board provided highlights and updates on topic matters impacting members.
During this meeting, the Board did another presentation about the 5 strategic imperatives that SAMRO will be focussing on in the short term.
These include:
- Increase revenue – this was presented by newly appointed GM Licencing – Manqoba Kubheka
- Cost Management
- Improve systems and processes
- Improve Reputation
- Consolidate/Unify the Industry
The regular meetings between members and Directors are to keep the member base informed as to what SAMRO is doing for them on a more regular basis. To introduce the senior leadership of SAMRO who will be presenting on various topics;
During this meeting, Clinton Hornet did a presentation on Distributions while Karabo Senna spoke about Rights Holder Services
SAMRO interim-CEO, Ditebogo Modiba gave feedback to members about matters that were raised at the previous meeting
The plan is to keep the conversation constructive and allow members to raise matters of concern or raise questions about the business of SAMRO.
