Hlengiwe Pearl is a musical storyteller from the kingdom of KwaZulu-Natal, eMazi. She relocated to Johannesburg with a mission to creatively deliver world-class performances through her art.
Her latest single ‘Mina Nawe’, featuring the sensational Kwesta, is a song written to celebrate love.
She was inspired by the journey of love between lovers in a relationship, the ups, and the downs, and the ability to stick together through it all, and states “Humans are humans and they can only do so much to keep loving each other. Recognizing the grace of God as something that keeps this particular couple together is worth mentioning in this song. In our day it’s hard to find love let alone keeping a long-lasting, happy relationship.”
Hlengiwe was also thrilled to have Kwesta be part of the song and he helped add more meaning and depth to the track.
Hlengiwe is driven by love, inner strength, purpose, and respect for her craft as well as her audience. This lady of song joined the internationally acclaimed ‘Joyous Celebration’ in 2003. She has been privileged to add her glitter and spark alongside some of the best names in the entertainment industry including Somizi Mhlongo, Judith Sephuma, Ntokoza Mbambo, Sibongile Khumalo, Jimmy Dludlu, Simphiwe Dana, Thandiswa Mazwai, and Zonke Dikane.
This truly talented artist has performed in theatres and on television, including YoTV-Land, The Lion Guard, Sarafina, and Lion and the Lamb’.
