The ‘Mhlaba Wethu’ songstress is renowned for having a knack for being able to make any listener feel like each track was written for them in mind and with ‘Khululeka’ she has kept the same formula, making the single a real standout.
With the new release, Brenda invites fans into a world of freedom, saneness, hope, and faith that will appeal to her most loyal as well as new fans. She soothes the soul and lifts hope during these challenging times that most of society is going through.
‘Khululeka’ was written by New York-based songwriter Mduduzi Madela, produced and recorded by David Mutunda. The single demonstrates the progression of sound as an artist and delivers a matured, and soulful feel.
“The title of the song stems from my lived experience with chronic anxiety, a diagnosis that led to my self-introspection and finding the words to express myself. Khululeka is me pouring my heart out and hoping it brings healing to those struggling with mental issues,’’ comments Brenda Mtambo.
